GROUP THERAPY
I've found that creating a space for people to talk about similar challenges is really healing. If you are feeling isolated or unsupported, group therapy is an effective way to connect with other people. It's also a great opportunity to build social skills. You'll get comfortable being with and talking in front of other people.
Sharing your thoughts, feelings and resources with other individuals facing similar situations can be empowering and helpful.
In group therapy sessions, I act as the facilitator and keep the conversation focused, thoughtful, open, helpful and non-judgmental. Usually groups will meet once a week, and will have between 5 and 12 members.
